Our story
Every journey starts with an idea. CITYFRAMES began with a spark of inspiration and grew into an international business. From a concept to stunning 3D Cities. Explore our story below and see how we've grown over the years.
2018
The Journey Begins
Our founder Alex wrapped up his studies in 2018 and made a trip to New York. He returned with a spark of inspiration that led to the idea of CITYFRAMES. Who knew skyscrapers could inspire so much?
2019
From the First 3D Printer to the First Milestone
The following year was a deep dive into 3D modeling. Alex started printing, tested materials, and experimented with digital 3D data. A lot of trial and error got CITYFRAMES rolling.
2020
Kickstarting CITYFRAMES
In January, Alex took CITYFRAMES to Kickstarter. The campaign was a huge success, funded in 6 hours and reaching over 400% of its goal. This was just the beginning of a busy production and shipping phase.
2021
The Big Move
In March, CITYFRAMES moved to an office in the historic Heyne Fabrik. This provided space for more printers, storage, and the first team members. Later this year, CITYFRAMES received a major overseas order, marking a new milestone as they packed their first pallets.
2022
The Team is Growing
By April, CITYFRAMES grew to a team of 6. The brand was gaining international recognition, delivering 3D city models to 75 countries.
2023
New Production space
In February, we launched our first furniture piece: BLOK. A specially designed coffee table to elegantly display a 3D cities.
More Space, Much More Space
By October, CITYFRAMES expanded again, moving production to a new hall next to their existing office, transforming the old space into a future showroom.

90 Countries
We're offering cities around the world, and naturally, we offer international shipping. In the past 3 years, we shipped to customers in 90 countries around the world.
1400+ KM
We have used over 1400 kilometers of filament (3D printing material) in the production of our 3D cities. This is roughly the distance between London and Rome.
100 Cities
In our collection we are now offering close to 150 city models from more than 100 different cities in 50 countries around the world. Which city should be the next?
